The significant contributions were made in the project formulation for the exploration and tapping ground water and mineral resources of this region. Expertise was also made available to the farming community and NGOs with respect to identification and control of major plant diseases of this region. Advice about medicinal plants, green wealth and bio-diversity was also notable.

The college has always tried to give community orientation to students by imbibing in them the civic responsibilities and social awareness. This is achieved by involving the students in various activities viz. blood donation camps, Aids awareness campaign, tobacco prohibition, soil and water conservation through watershed management. The students are encouraged to participate in activities aimed at eradicating the superstitions and taboos in society by cultivation of scientific awareness through organization of mental health camps, scientific experiments and lectures for masses in rural areas. |
Scientific knowledge is disseminated among masses through the mother tongue, Marathi, with the contribution of large number of articles in local and regional news papers by our faculty.All India Radio is also used as an effective medium for communicating scientific knowledge to public at large.
To develop the balanced personality of the students and to infuse in them the spirit of enlightened and responsible citizenship, this college has provided value based education through Yoga and meditation camps, debating competitions, entrepreneurship development camps, poem writing and encouraged them to participate in various competitions at different stages of learning.
